RACE REPORT: POSSOM KINGDOM – TRI-STATE SERIES

5/27/08 Belton, S.C. drew an awesome crowd of competition and we were included. Ryan qualified 8th in both the Blue Lite and Blue Heavy Divisions.
In the Blue Lite race we utilized our drafting skill to work our way up, but with a gap between the front runners and the second group behind them, we would come home in 6th place with an honest good run.
The blue heavy was awesome, Ryan had an awesome drafting partner and near the end of the race found himself in contention for a win as he was in second place when the white flag dropped, coming out of turn 4, Ryan hungry for a win attempted to pass the leader on the outside and it looked as if it might have worked. However, on the last lap everyone is hungry and when it became 4 wide to the line, being on the outside, put us ending up 4th. This was an awesome race all the way to the finish.
Next week we have decided to add a money race to our agenda in Liberty, N.C., so wish us luck as we venture on to another race, another time, another chance.
