Written By: Ryan Heavner Racing
9/2/08 Ryan had a dominating season going into the weekend’s Tri-State race at the Georgia Karting Complex in Carnesville, GA. Ryan has already taken the 2008 N.C. State Championship and the Jr. Kahuna Championship. He was heading into the weekend with the possibility of three more championship titles.
With 43 entries competing for a championship Ryan had his hands full all weekend. In Pro Blue, Ryan qualified in the 5th position. He would then pick of some spots in the main event and come home with a runner up finish. This finish would put Ryan at a very respectable 2nd place spot for the overall Pro Blue championship.
Next up Blue Heavy Ryan found himself in his second favorite starting spot 3rd position after a nice qualifying run. However, Ryan was unable to move forward in the feature event due to some tire pressure mistakes. Ryan would come home 4th. This would again place Ryan 2nd in the Blue Heavy championship standings.
The final event of the weekend, Blue Lite, Ryan came out with a bang and took the pole. However, again in the feature event the team made a small tire pressure mistake and Ryan soon found himself moving backward. Ryan would hold on for a 3rd place run. The 3rd place run would give Ryan a 3rd place in Blue Lite Championship standings.
Overall, Ryan had a great weekend. He was able to come home with two runner up finishes and one third in the championship standings. Ryan will be testing a Pro Challenge Car the next three weekend to help prepare for 2009. The next race for Ryan is September 27th, 2008 in Myrtle Beach, SC at Myrtle Beach Motorsports Comp for the Big Kuhuna race.
