RYAN HEAVNER TESTING PRO CHALLENGE CAR FOR 2009

4/28/08 Ryan Heavner spent the past weekend testing for the future of his racing career. In 2009, Ryan plans to join the Pro Challenge Racing Series and he spent his off weekend testing at Tri-County Motor Speedway Saturday and Sunday at Hickory Motor Speedway. The team has also been hiding some other big news, they already have a partner to help them with the Pro Challenge side of the race team for 2009. The Pro Challenge Series is a Young Drivers Development Program built on a 40-year heritage of design and manufacturing excellence, Pro Challenge is committed to bringing the great American pastime of auto racing to a whole new generation of racers-just the way Nascar founder “Big Bill” France had intended it.
With it headquarters in the heart of racing country, Pro Challenge has a network of tracks and distributors in a handful of states in the U.S. and Canada.
With five regional series and plans to extend regional development in new parts of the country, as well as the Pro Challenge National series, Pro Challenge is the most cost effective way for up and coming drivers to gain experience at various tracks in a highly competitive arena.
The Pro Challenge Oval Races is a true high performance racing vehicle, possessing that distinctive Nascar look and feel.
The Pro-Challenge is a scale replica of Nextel Cup vehicles with a sealed Kawasaki four-cylinder, water cooled power plant producing 140 horsepower and speeds of nearly 150 MPH. At just 1,300 pounds, the car possesses unbelievable weight to horsepower ratio as fast as larger late model racecars on 3/8 and 1/2 mile tracks.
