RYAN HEAVNER JOINS MOTORSPORTS COMMUNITY AT STOCKS FOR TOTS

MOORESVILLE, NC (December 14th, 2010) Since 1989, Stocks for Tots has brought together celebrities from the motorsports world and their fans to raise awareness of the child abuse problem in North Carolina. On Tuesday, December 7th, the 22nd annual Stocks for Tots was held at the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, North Carolina to collect toys and raise money during a festive, family-oriented event.
USAR Procup Series competitor Ryan Heavner joined an impressive group of motorsports celebrities at Stocks for Tots signing autographs for race fans. Heavner was joined by Sprint Cup Series drivers Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch, Joe Nemechek, Regan Smith, and John Andretti. Among other celebrities at the event include Ned Jarrett, Bobby and Donnie Allison, Sam Bass, Ray and Erin Evernham, Tim Brewer, Waddell Wilson, Larry McReynolds, Mike Joy, Don Miller, and Doug Herbert.
Stocks for Tots has raised over $850,000 and distributed nearly 50,000 Christmas toys to children in the area. The proceeds from the 2010 event will be donated to SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) of Iredell County. SCAN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children, supporting parents, and improving the community.
