RYAN HEAVNER SET FOR ACE SPEEDWAY DEBUT
Written By: DLP Marketing Inc.
LINCOLNTON, NC (March 31st, 2011) When Ryan Heavner travels to Ace Speedway in Elon, North Carolina on Friday, April 1st, it will be the first time that the 15-year old has ever been to the .4-mile paved track. Ace Speedway is the site of round two of the USAR Pro Cup Series for 2011, and the 250-lap event will provide a serious challenge for both Heavner and the #77 Matt Lofton Motorsports Team.
“I’ve never been to Ace Speedway, but I’ve talked with several friends who have raced there,” Heavner said. “I’ve heard that turns one and two are really narrow, turns three and four are more sweeping turns, and coming off turn four is where most of the ‘action’ happens.”
“Going to a new track on the USAR Pro Cup schedule is nothing new for me,” Heavner added. “Last year was my rookie year and almost every track we raced was new to me. I’m sure my Crew Chief Bob Schacht and the #77 crew will have a competitive Chevrolet for me at Ace Speedway on Friday night.”
Practice and qualifying for the White’s International Truck 250 will held on Friday afternoon, with the green flag set for 8 PM. The Ace Speedway event is the second of fourteen on the 2011 USAR Pro Cup Series schedule.
