LINCOLNTON, NC (April 26th, 2011) Mention Dillon Motor Speedway to Ryan Heavner and you’ll instantly see a smile on his face. Why, you might ask? It’s because this weekend the USAR Pro Cup Series invades the .4-mile track for round three of fourteen races on the 2011 schedule. And, the talented 15-year old driver has earned three top-ten finishes, including a win and a pole, in his three previous trips to Dillon.
After two disappointing finishes at New Smyrna and Ace Speedways to start the 2011 USAR Pro Cup Series, Heavner looks to Dillon to turn his season around.
“I’ve never been to Dillon in a Pro Cup car, but I believe from my past experience and watching other late models there, it’s going to be a race of patience,” Heavner stated. “Considering I have won a race at Dillon, I’m really looking forward to a good weekend with the BSM/Strutmasters Chevrolet.” Heavner’s three Pro Challenge Series races at Dillon resulted in a 7th, 5th, and 1st.
“I feel like I could have had some top three finishes at New Smyrna and Ace, but bad luck played a role in both” Heavner added. “My team has given me a strong car, and I know that our strong finishes are coming soon. This weekend at Dillon would be a great time to start.”
The USAR Pro Cup Series made an exciting announcement recently that, beginning this week at Dillon with the Carolina International Trucks 250, the remaining 2011 Pro Cup races will be available LIVE as a Pay-per-View event over the Internet. Fans can watch the Dillon race by signing up at www.itstv.tv website. You can choose from several membership options – Live or On-Demand. For $7.99 per view, you can watch individual races or for $5.99/monthly fee, viewers will have on demand access to all races.
